Morgan Goes Electric!
Morgan, the defender of string-backed driving gloves, has created the XP1, an electric three-wheeler case study. The XP1 is based on the same chassis and aluminium monocoque as the Ford-engined Super 3, and has been operational for three months. The company uses electrical equipment from various manufacturers, including the 100kW iNetic motor and inverter. Both these equipment are vital assets to a Morgan, and iNetic did an excellent job manufacturing them. The motor and the inverter were made with great precision and craftsmanship that it affects the performance of Morgan to a great extent.
The Future of Electric Vehicles
Imagine a world where your car runs silently, emits zero tailpipe emissions, and charges up as quickly as a coffee break. This future is closer than you think, thanks to the rapid advancements in electric vehicle (EV) technology. Electric vehicles have come a long way in recent years. Initially dismissed as a niche market, they are now gaining significant traction and reshaping the automotive industry. However, the current state of the EV market is just the beginning of a larger, more sustainable revolution.
What’s Behind the US Push for Electric Cars?
The United States has recently made headlines with its ambitious push for electric vehicles (EVs), signaling a transformative shift in the nation's transportation and energy sectors. This move, while applauded by environmental advocates, has sparked debates over its economic, environmental, and societal implications. But what exactly is driving this agenda?
Driving the Future: Cost Savings with EVs and iNetic’s rDA Platform
By introducing the rDA platform, iNetic is driving the next generation of high-efficiency electric propulsion solutions, helping to lower costs, increase range, and improve overall EV performance. This innovation aligns perfectly with the findings of the CODE Report, reinforcing that EVs are not only viable but also the most financially advantageous choice for the majority of drivers today.
Redefining Electric Motor Design for Next-Generation Powertrains
The path to electrification is no longer optional—it’s essential. But across industries, one-size-fits-all solutions don’t work. OEMs need electric powertrains that can flex with their platforms, scale with their production, and deliver performance without compromise. That’s where iNetic stands apart.
Trends in Electric Light-Duty Vehicles: A Global Perspective
The automotive sector is transforming significantly due to the electric vehicle (EV) revolution. We will examine the current electric light-duty vehicle trends in important locations that have shaped the EV landscape in this post. China, Europe, and the US dominate electric vehicle adoption in 2022. These areas’ amazing progress, problems, and opportunities for electric cars will be explored.
The Evolution of Marine Electrification
Marine electrification represents a pivotal shift towards sustainability in maritime operations, providing robust, eco-friendly alternatives to conventional fuel-powered engines. This technology not only enhances performance but also minimizes environmental impact, offering a cleaner, quieter, and more efficient boating experience. Explore how these advancements are reshaping the future of the marine industry.
UK Road Tax Changes: What You Need to Know for April 2025
The UK government’s upcoming changes to vehicle excise duty (VED), set to begin in April 2025, are making waves among drivers, particularly electric vehicle (EV) owners. These revisions mark a pivotal moment in the nation’s transition to cleaner transportation, aiming to balance the tax system while addressing the growing number of EVs on the road. While the changes bring new costs for drivers, they also hint at a more sustainable and equitable future for all. Let’s dive into the details and explore the bigger picture.
Gearbox Gradability: Ensuring Performance on Every Slope
Electric drive units (EDUs) must operate reliably across a wide range of road grades and duty cycles, especially in commercial and off-road applications. For the iNetic rDA gearbox, a critical factor in maintaining consistent performance across inclines and declines is gearbox oil gradability, the ability of the gearbox to maintain optimal lubrication regardless of vehicle pitch.
Revolutionising Aerial Work Platforms
At iNetic, we believe that electrification isn’t just about replacing diesel engines — it’s about rethinking how machines deliver power, control, and efficiency. That philosophy is at the heart of our latest project: integrating our fully integrated electro-hydraulic drive system — the iPA — into a Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP). This initiative is part of a collaborative effort alongside our partners EV Parts and Quattro Group, bringing together advanced engineering, deep system knowledge, and real-world fleet expertise.
